Iwillbuildmychurch.com was part of the vision for Westward Ho! Baptist Church as the need for a new building became apparent.
WHO are they?
The church is in the centre of the village community of Westward Ho! It is a loving, caring, growing and supportive fellowship where everyone is welcomed in the name of Jesus.
Teaching and fellowship is biblically based, mission orientated and relevant to today. We seek to reflect the unique life giving, life changing and personal impact of Jesus' death and resurrection in all we do.
We believe and teach that the Christian faith is relevant to our 21st century world and culture – God is in everyday life. So our faith doesn't stop at Sundays — throughout the week we offer activities for all ages ranging from tots and toddlers to our popular monthly lunch club.
WHERE are they?
Due to the growth of the fellowship, when the old, small building was sold we met at a local school. We worship together as a family, under the ministry of our minister Rev. Steve Robinson, with children's work catered for by The Junior Church.
In February 2011, we moved into our new sanctuary in the centre of Westward Ho! It adjoins the Church Hall in Nelson Drive which is used for Sunday School, mid week meetings and by the local community.
WHY are they?
We are a church in Westward Ho! because the Lord gave local believers the vision to build a church in the centre of the village in 1895. Since that time God has continued to bless the people and work of the fellowship.
We have moved buildings because the church has outgrown the facility given all those years ago and in faith we are moving forward to erect a new building which today's church can inhabit and use for God's glory.
